This one brings back a lot of memories as it is one of my mom’s favorite desserts! Serve it hot with ice cream or whipped cream and you’ll be in heaven. This recipe costs about $1 per serving or $6 for the whole recipe.

Ingredients
- 1.5 cup Flour
- 1.25 cup Oats
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- .75 cup Butter
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- .5 tsp Salt
- 1 21 Ounce Can Cherry Pie Filling
- 2 oz Walnuts
Method
- Mix the Ingredients: Preheat the oven to 350°. In a mixing bowl stir together the flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt. Melt the butter and mix with the other ingredients until well combined.
- Assemble the Dessert: In an 8×8 baking dish press two-thirds of the mixture into the bottom of the pan using your hands or the bottom of a cup forming a solid base. Pour the cherry pie filling over the top and spread evenly. Finally, sprinkle the remaining oat mixture as well as the chopped walnuts over the top.
- Bake and Serve: Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove and let cool for 15-20 minutes before serving warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
